Run a race course
Are you a club, training centre or class association and would like to run a race coach course or host a Discover Coaching and Instructing event?

Do you need more coaches or instructors?
Sometimes a club or a class might need more coaches or instructors, but they don't have people stepping forward to take up the role.听 If this is the case for you then you might want to host a 鈥淒iscover Coaching and Instructing鈥 event.听 This half-day taster event covers the role of a coach or instructor and helps people decide if that is a route they wish to take.听 It is perfect to help the undecided make a decision!听 Get in touch via听coachingdevelopment@rya.org.uk听if you would like to host an event.
Do you have sailors who are ready to take their race coach qualification and start coaching?
Then consider hosting a race coach course to develop your members or sailors.听
What does the club/class need to supply?
- Five single-handed appropriate boats听
- One safety boat听and fuel
- A sheltered area to brief & review
- Two days to run the course听
- Access on and off the water throughout the course听
Your course can be available for only your own club/class members to attend. Your members can pay their own course fee or we can invoice the club/class directly.听 Alternatively you can open your course to others outside your club, allowing sailors from other clubs to join and pay their own course fee. This is particularly useful if you have for example three sailors at your club wishing to attend and need to make up the numbers to make the course viable to run.
